Pastor James Ray is married to Mrs. Pamela Ray, for whom he is gratefulto God too have as his life companion and in ministry.  Reverend and Sister Ray have two beautiful children--Jahcie and Joshua. Reverend Ray and his family have been faithfully serving the Second Baptist Church of Boulder family since 2015.  A native Mississipian, Rev. Ray spent time in Jackson, Mississippi where he attended Jackson State University where he studied Computer Science.  It is here he received a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army Reserve through the JSU RoTC program.  After 24 years of service, he recently retired achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.  He returned to Colorado where he worked for IBM for over 12 years, earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and completed work in Religious Studies and Education at Harvard University Ext school.  It was also around this time he accomplished, what he phrases as one of the most important accomplishments of his life, he accepted his call of Pastoralship and has pursued it full-time.
